Drepung Gomang Annual School Examination held last week of April 2023.

Last week of April 2023, Drepung Gomang School conducted its annual School exam. The young monks are required to give memorization tests, written tests, and debate tests to be promoted to the next class. Drepung Gomang School is managed by Dre-Gomang Buddhist Cultural Association, Young monks from age 6-15 are taught English, basic mathematics, and science besides traditional Tibetan grammar and literature. It has classes up to eighth grade, upon completion of this grade, monks will join regular debate sessions at the debate courtyard.
